About Karin – The Heart Behind the Healing
With over 20 years of experience as a licensed professional counselor with a master’s degree, I can genuinely say, “I love my job.” Each day I find immense satisfaction in witnessing the relief on my clients’ faces when they experience an “a-ha” moment or begin to embrace self-acceptance. This passion stems from my own journey towards self-acceptance, which took many years to achieve.
The name of my blog, Youtube channel, and facebook page – Pure Grace and Gratitude – is a reflection of my first and second names:
Karin means Pure and Ann means Grace. I don’t find it a coincidence that it is my mission to bring Pure Grace and Gratitude to my world through my work!
As a cognitive therapist, I specialize in helping clients navigate their thoughts and emotions to foster positive change. I am also skilled in various therapeutic techniques, including EFT Tapping, which allows me to offer a holistic approach to healing. My practice is adaptable to the needs of clients who prefer a spiritual or faith-based treatment.
My goal is to assist clients in finding answers or making peace with the unknown. If you are considering becoming one of my clients, please know that I have a proven track record of helping individuals rediscover hope and trust in their ability to change. Together, we can work towards a brighter, more fulfilling future.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy journaling and music. I play guitar in my church. I am a guitar player and vocalist in an acoustic rock duo with my significant other, Tim. We love to sit on the porch and drink coffee or tea and listen to concerts on YouTube til long into the night! He has given me a love of flowers. Dafodills are my fav and sunflowers, a close second. He lovingly tends our garden. We have flowers and vegetables gracing our home when in season. I especially love when I step into my office and find the single flower vase that he leaves on my desk from time to time. My family and friends fill up my life and I feel there is not enough time in the day to celebrate all the joy!
Many years ago I learned the practice of gratitude and it has changed my life. I was a person for whom anxiety was a constant, and fear got in the way of me having a meaningful and fulfilling life. Having gained understanding and control over my anxiety and perspective over the years, I recognize that its my right and responsibility to create the feeling I want in my house and inside of relationships. At the very core of my being, I wish that for all my clients… a sense of peace inside of a world that can be confusing and anxiety provoking. Let me help you learn skills so you can cultivate the life you want. Let me help you find your peace.
Gratefully,
Karin
